Coaches Bio

Sean grew up on the west side of the Edmonton area, playing for his youth hockey team, the
“Canadian Athletic Club,” before leaving home at sixteen to further pursue his hockey career. He
attended one of the top premier hockey schools in the country, Shattuck St. Mary’s, where he
played alongside current NHLers like Nathan Mackinnon and Mikey Riley. After a year at
Shattuck and losing in the National Championship game, Sean moved to the east coast,
specifically Greenwich, Connecticut, to attend Brunswick Prep and be mentored by the Messier
family. After one season at Brunswick Prep, Sean returned home to play for his local Junior A
team, the Sherwood Park Crusaders. He played for the Crusaders for two seasons, earning a
hockey scholarship to attend Boston University and being drafted in the first round of the USHL
Draft after his second season with the team. Sean then played two seasons at the University of
Alaska Anchorage before coming back home to play for his hometown university team, the
MacEwan Griffins, where the team won back-to-back championships. Since retiring from playing
hockey, Sean has earned his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from MacEwan University with a
major in Business and a minor in Business Law, and has worked with numerous skills providers
over the years. Sean is eager to develop and learn as he continues down the coaching path.
