Introducing Attack Athlete Development: Position Specific, Habits, & Technical Skills

Program Outline

Attack Athlete Development takes an educational approach to our youth athletes where Culture, Leadership, and Mindset are the three foundational pieces. Our goal is to create a positive training environment, build trust, build habits, and help structure a process-focus mindset for each of our athletes. As coaches, we are involved in youth development for two main reasons: to help kids reach their potential and positively impact their lives.

Why choose us?

At Attack Athlete Development, we have professional coaches who can provide specific training details that don't get enough attention during a normal hockey season. We will focus on sections of the game where tactical skills are highlighted at the next levels. We will provide position-specific training with an educational approach to promote Hockey IQ and spatial awareness (two of the most challenging skills to teach). We will focus on tactics in each zone (offensive, neutral, defensive) to help educate our athletes, which in turn will build confidence and help them understand how to use their skill set efficiently to reach their specific goals.

5 key components to our Development Plan

Individual Attention: With a maximum athlete to coach ratio of 8 to 1; each athlete receives ample time and repetition to develop their skills.

Rep/Rest Ration: Athletes will be moving in drills or skill stations constantly; 1:1 or 1:2 depending on the drill or skill.

Position-Specific Development: Building specific skills with repetition that translate to the next level.

Educational Approach to Coaching: Answer the "why?" for athletes in areas of the game/skill that promote individual growth.

Professional Coaching: Teaching specific skills with repetition to help build confidence and knowledge for our athletes.
